Our editor Kiril has a special interest in housing typologies (nerdish, eh?) and has created a wonderful collection of contemporary projects which present alternatives to the models we’re used to. Although residential architecture is generally the most conservative kid on the block, the examples here prove that everything can be questioned and rethought: from the neat, lined-up townhouses to water towers converted to stunning contemporary homes.
