Villa Ribarica

This single-family holiday house in the Village of Ribarica was completed by NAB Architects in 2008. The site is sloping from a picturesque mountain road (South) to the bank of the Beli Vit river (North). The building is organised as two ‘sliding’ volumes connected/divided by a staircase. The day volume, housing the kitchen, dining and living spaces, is on the ground and opens directly to the front garden. The night volume with three bedrooms is elevated above the ground and sails over the river. A linear pool, extending the North-South axis, connects the gates with the main house entrance. The site is nested  in an area of outstanding natural beauty, which is brought to the inside through window openings, framing particular views of beautiful woods, hills, rocks, river ...
