Urban Housing in Nieuw Leyden

Within the masterplan of MVRDV, 24H-architecture developed two private houses .The master plan provides a dense urban setup where individual clients can build there own house with their own architect. Both houses consist of a 4 story house with a water patio, various terraces and green roof gardens; living in provided on the first level, sleeping and bathroom on the higher levels. The slightly lowered ground floor consists of workspace and access to the parking garage with 2 parking spaces.

Interior and exterior consist of various wood materials; flooring of bamboo parquet, window and door frames of compressed bamboo, front and back facade of fsc certified louro gamela and jatoba and the wooden terrace decking of compressed bamboo. Front and back facade contain also corten steel parts.
