This conversion of a Listed building to a 5-star boutique hotel and restaurant demanded the highest standards of interior design.
The restaurant’s head chef has worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and therefore the design approach had to create a space which refl ected the quality of food. The design aesthetic retains and enhances the building’s character by bringing modern and antique elements together to create a unique style.
For the hotel, our Interior Design department worked closely with the client to achieve a human, ‘lived in’ feel that set the hotel apart from the stark, branded feel of many modern hotels. The hotel’s fi ve rooms each exhibit a distinctive identity, achieved through the careful use of a diff erent colour and fabric for each. This personality extends to the selection of furniture to create characters ranging from ‘new baroque’ to ‘country lodge’.
