The Fashion Retail Academy

London’s Fashion Retail Academy was commissioned by the Learning and Skills Council as the trailblazer for the National Skills Network. The vision was to create a vocational centre of the highest quality, featuring facilities that would inspire students to become world class professionals. The location of the new Academy was a 1960’s,seven storey office building in Gresse Street, close to London’s home of fashion, Oxford Street. The challenge was to transform this derelict shell into 4544msq of functional teaching space in keeping with a contemporary retail environment of its high profile sponsors.
