Tante Sara Bakery Coffee Resto
In the southern end of the Republic of Argentina, on the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, there lies Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Located on the Beagle Channel, it takes its name -which means "bay overlooking the West"- from the yámana tongue. Within the impressive frame made up by the sea, the forests, the lakes and the mountains, Ushuaia is a picturesque city with an important tourist services infrastructure, an elegant commercial center and an increasing social and cultural activity. The company Tante Sara was founded in 1988, and the main aim is the quality. It¨s precisely the quality, the starting point of this building work searching the quality of the materials, the interior decoration, and the details. Tante Sara is a bakery, restaurant and café, where it¨s combine the baker¨s shop, the patisserie and a service area for the café and the restaurant. It’s a contemporary european style shop with a wenge wood floor and ivory upholsters, masculine walnut woodworking and sand colour walls and ceilings; stone walls and scenography lighting. This comercial shop presents a facade with great personality at San Martin Street which is the principal street of the city. It has a stone basement an offers a great transparency inviting to enter. The main entrante offers shelter from the cold and the strong winds of the bay nearby. When we enter the shop, we enter at a double high space with stone walls and the stairs in the center of the scene and on the other side there is the patisserie with a great raw material mural that ends in a cristal chandelier inherited from the family¨s owner. The bakery area offers a great wall of exposure where combines furniture and shelves in wenge wood with white lacquer ones. The equipment for cakes and refrigerate products are in stainless steel with details in wood. The bar and the cashier has a great wooden wenge ceiling with ivory colour ceramic and masculine walnut woodworking on the front. Allthough the bakery area is very different from de café and restaurant according to it¨s use and public, the similar treatment for both of them harmonize as a whole creating a unique, confortable, warm and modern space at the shelter of a harsh climate.
