Silchar Airport

Silchar Airport (IATA: IXS, ICAO: VEKU) is located in Silchar in the state of Assam, India.The airport was constructed by the British during the World War. The airport is situated on the foot-hills of the Barail range. The airport is the fourth busiest airport of the north-eastern India next to Guwahati, Agartala & Imphal. The airport handles about 230,000 passengers yearly.
