The development includes 33,000 sq m (350,000 sq ft) of commercial and leisure space and 850 apartments. The buildings are orientated as ‘fingers’, running perpendicular to the River Thames, separated by very attractive landscaping. The buildings are designed to maximise the number of apartments with river views and provide South facing terraces for those without. In order to maintain a car free environment, the parking facilities are located under the buildings and landscaped gardens. These gardens will be vitalized after dark by theme and effect lighting to accentuate the trees, foliage and planting. Whilst this will be aesthetically pleasing, it is also intended to improve the ecology for the local wildlife.
