A zebra-striped plywood installation is a lesson in geometry, symmetry and the art of balance.

The two R&D:azzle structures have no frames and rest on specific pressure points. The irregularly-shaped pieces are completely faceted using only plastic zip ties.

‘The installation is defined by impossible views,’ explains Michael Szivos of NYC studio SOFTlab. ‘The piece is graphically camouflaged so that the shape is discovered by viewers as they move around it.’
