Newcastle railway station

The station was designed by John Dobson for two companies, York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway (YN&BR) and Newcastle and Carlisle Railway (N&CR). YN&BR merged with other companies in 1854 to form North Eastern Railway (NER), which later absorbed N&CR in 1862.
