Coffee shops are considered as public zones that attract different users with diversity of interests. In this project we tried to regard it as a place to relax and experience a different spatial quality. The design question that we tried to resolve in this project which is located at a shopping center in Velenjak was to create multiple perspective views in every single spot of the coffee shop. As people are walking through or using the different zones of the area, they can observe dissimilar perspective views in each zone. The other design question that we tried to resolve was to generate a simple, innovative construction technology that can reduce the construction cost. To address these two design problems, we tried to respond to architectural elements like walls, roofs and lights as continuous elements. By using simple technologies like dry-walls (Knauf) and economic lights, the total cost of the project except the furniture , the façade and the facilities reached to 5500$. The project functionally divides in to two main zones of kitchen area and the main hall, but in the concept phase we considered them as four zones of entrance, the main hall, the serving counter and the kitchen. The spatial concept was to present a significant solid mass that connects the entrance of the hall to the serving counter and also illustrates the roof and the walls as a continuous element. This solid mass provides the essential light of the area in an indirect manner. This fact conveys a relaxing form of light in the space and also eliminates any sharp and disturbing type of light. The method of creating this solid mass is based on morphing two curves over each other. This fact crafts variety of different perspective views and tends to produce diverse experiences in each spot. With the simple technology the construction of the solid mass is based on printing the curves in different cross sections and supporting it in economic steel structure. To avoid multiplicity of materials, the idea of the project in material selection was to allow two basic materials to conduct their roll effectively. One is basic white coat that covers the roof and the walls continuously. The second choice is dark wood that envelopes the floor, parts of the walls, the furniture, the entrance, the serving counter and the kitchen in a continuous manner. The reasoning behind choosing the dark color of wood was to eliminate the diversity of texture and existing colors in the wood itself, in an attempt to provoke the spatial quality and flow of light in the space and craft a pleasant area for the users.
