ENTRANCE GATE OF A GOLF RESORT HOTEL PROJECT IS A MAIN ENTRANCE DESIGN, FOR A HOTEL AND GOLF ESTABLISHMENT, WHICH TOOK PLACE AT SERIK, ANTALYA REGION OF TURKEY, ON A SAND-DUNE GEOGRAPHY, PARALLEL TO THE SHORE-LINE OF MEDITERRANEAN SEA. FROM THE AESTHETICAL POINT OF VIEW, THE MAIN GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE A FORM UNITY BETWEEN THE STRUCTURE AND THE SOFT ONDULATION OF TOPOGRAPHICAL FORM OF SANDDUNES AND GOLF AREA;AND TRY TO MAKE THE STRUCTURE AS A PART OF THE MAIN LANDSCAPE IN TERMS OF COLOR, FORM AND TEXTURE WHILE SHAPING THE STRUCTURE WITH LIVING MATERIALS.(SOIL+PLANTS) MAIN FUNCTION OF THE STRUCTURE IS TO CONTROL THE VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN ACCESS TO THE ESTABLISHMENT. AT THE MAIN AXIS THE HEIGHT OF THE OPENING IS 5 MT TO ALLOW HEAVY SERVICE TRAFFIC TO THE ESTABLISHMENT. THE LENGTH OF THE OPENING OF THE CONSTRUCTION IS DESIGNED 18 MT IN ORDER TO ARRANGE MIN. 10 MT WIDE 2 LANE TRAFFIC ROAD. ON TOP OF THE CONCRETE ARCH TO DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF SOIL LOAD, LIGHTWEIGHT BRIQUETTE BLOCK FILL IS FIXED TO THE CONSTRUCTION BY MORTAR. THE PREMIX GROWING MEDIUM IS NOT MORE THAN 40 CM DEEP, ALONG THE FACADES OF THE 'LIVING WALL' STRUCTURE. ON TOP OF THE REINFORCED CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, BY USING SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION SITE MATERIALS A 'LIVING WALL' IS DESIGNED SIMILAR TO THE GOLF-LAND FORMS. LIGHT WEIGHT SOIL, TORF, PUMICE, ORG.FERTILIZER MIXTURE FILLED, WOVEN GEOTEXTILE BAGS ARE DISTRUBUTED WITH BAULK OF TIMBERS IN BETWEEN THE CELLULAR IRON-MASH, THEN PLANTING AN AGGRESSIVE PLANT 'APTENIA CORDIFOLIA' TO PRE-OPENED 'KANGAROO POCKETS'. DRIP-IRRIGATION SYSTEM IS USED FOR IRRIGATION. GREY AND NATURAL WOOD COLOR IS USED ON THE CONSTRUCTION IN ORDER TO NOT TO SPOIL THE NATURAL COLOR OUTLOOK OF THE WHOLE BUILDING. TO SUPPORT THE AESTHETICAL GOAL OF THE DESIGN, GRASS FORMED OUTDOOR INDIRECT LAMPS ARE DESIGNED AND USED FOR OUTDOOR LIGHTING.
