Intercontinental Westminster

Construction of DMA’s design for a new Intercontinental hotel in London’s St. James Park has started on site. The new hotel will occupy the prestigious Queen Anne’s Chambers which has its facades at 22-30 Broadway, 37-45 Tothill Street and 1-3 Dean Farrar Street. Originally built in the 18th Century as a hospital, the building has more recently been used as office space with retail outlets along the ground floor. DMA’s scheme will transform the space to create a luxury 5 star hotel featuring a new arrival canopy and porte cochere leading guests into an atrium reception. The conversion will retain much of the original facade and provide a bar & restaurant, conference facilities, 254 luxury suites and bedrooms arranged around four distinct wings.
