House O

The site is a very small steep slope, orientated to the south. Through stacking the volumes along the slope, the space gathers maximum usage on minimum space.

The property is entered through the garage at the south-east corner, below the entrance floor.
From the garage one walks up eighteen steps towards the entrance area.
The flight of stairs and entrance area are covered by the cantelevering volume of the livingroom upstairs.
The entrance level accompanies a very generous entrance hall and the ‚leasure area’ of the house. The socalled ‚leasure area’ comprises home cinema, wellness, fitness, sauna and wine-cellar and is also used as a party and welcome area directly linked with the roofed entrance area outside. All the technical installations like pool and heating/cooling station is arranged in the back-cellar.
The house is heated by air-pump through floor and wall-heating/cooling.
From the entrance level one climbes up one more flight of stairs towards the main living area with the adjacent terrace and pool. The main living area comprises kitchen, dining and skylounge (cantelever) and two children rooms with bathroom.
From the lounge you have a wonderful view over the city of Graz.
One level higher holds the master bedroom, dressing room and bathroom with another terrace with integrated whirlpool outside.

All levels are free open organized spaces flowing into each other.

the fassade of the main body is a metal fassade in strips, ventilated on the rear. the lower volume is covered by mosaik tiles.
