Goiania House
This residence was built in the suburbs of the city of Goiania, in the heart of Brazil's central region, The climate is warm and dry all over the year and families adopt outdoor home entertainment on a daily basis. The origin of this architectural proposal is beyond its walls. It is in the beauty and nature of the green landscape of its surroundings. With 1200 square meters, the house design had the preservation of the topography and vegetation as its top priority. Plotted in the center of the lot, the "U" shaped house relates to nature from all its facades and allows garden views from most of its angles. The reinforced concrete structure allowed the construction of big wide open spaces with the integration of indoor and outdoor ambiences, where the internal view is not limited by walls but by the green landscape itself, through the glass windows. All bedrooms and family room were placed on one side of the house, services in the middle and the social area in the opposite wing. In the central yard there is the swimming pool and family leisure outdoor area. Its more than 1000 square meters are framed by a pergola structure in concrete, as a modern interpretation of the traditional Brazilian architecture terraces. The pergola brings sun protection and plays with the invisible limits of the open spaces. In the back yard, 2500 square meters of forest reserve lodge small wild animals and dozens of birds specimens. The concepts of freedom and space dominium in the same plot, the invitation to enjoy the indoor and outdoor at the same time, in a continuous space, and the plain simple line of architecture enhance the project's volumes and translucence.
