Frederick Spangenberg HouseEdit profile
The Frederick Spangenberg House is the oldest limestone farmhouse still standing in Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota; its yellow limestone walls came from banks of the Mississippi River and hauled by stoneboat over snow to the building site. The house, located at 375 Mount Curve Avenue is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Frederick Spangenberg was a German immigrant dairy farmer. Spangenberg's 80-acre (32 ha) farm would become Saint Paul's Highland Park neighborhood.
