Fen Court
The Fen Court public realm enhancement project sought to improve the quality of public realm in a well-used thoroughfare between Fenchurch Street and Fenchurch Avenue. The project consists of two elements: the enhancement of the garden space to the west and the creation of a powerful artwork to the east, commemorating the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade in 1807. The scheme was completed in September 2008 and was opened by the Archbishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu.
