Exhibition RoadEdit profile
The partners of the Exhibition Road Project have embarked on an unprecedented and commendable journey to make this historic area of South Kensington the most accessible cultural destination in the world. Exhibition Road is one of the most important visitor attractions in the country and home to a unique and world class collection of museums and cultural and educational institutions (including the Victorian and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and Imperial College). It is also a key thoroughfare from South Kensington Tube Station to the glories of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. For many years the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea has been campaigning with the institutions, Westminster City Council and Transport for London to improve Exhibition Road for the 11.5 million visitors that flock to the area each year.
