Eton Manor
Eton Manor will be the location for aquatics training during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, also functioning as a public venue for wheelchair tennis matches during the Paralympics. It will continue after the Games as a community sports venue incorporating a centre of excellence for tennis and hockey. The design strategy delivers an exceptional legacy venue which will also efficiently and coherently accommodate its varying functions during the Games, presenting a robust and flexible architecture. It will function as the northern gateway to the Olympic Park, with the site’s topography being reshaped to offer improved connections with the surrounding area, as well as being a destination in its own right, in each of its Games and legacy uses.
