Dennis is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Northcote, on the Hurstbridge railway line. Dennis is manned Monday-Friday between 7:30am and 9:30am and is in Metcard Zone 1.

Facilities

Dennis is located between South Crescent and Cain Avenue, with station access from both.

The station consists of two side platforms; Platform 1 has a large brick building, while platform 2 has a smaller brick building. A large Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accepts notes and coins. A small coin-only Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 2. A myki machine is available at both platform entrances, with two readers at each entrance.

  • 250 Garden City – La Trobe University via Carlton North, Clifton Hill (every day). Operated by NationalBus.
  • 251 Garden City – Northland SC via Carlton North, Clifton Hill (every day). Operated by NationalBus.
History

Dennis station opened on 4 February 1924. Boom barriers replaced hand gates at Victoria Road in 1964.
