How can we reconnect the waterfront to the spectacdar Chicago Skyline?
The Navy Pier is one ofthe greatest living legacies of Daniel Bumhams Plan of Chicago that included a grand public waterfront. While the pier is widely used byhe people, it lacks physical and visual oonnecions back to the city.
We propose to extend he existing pier upwards by elevaing public life onto he rooftops and restoring uninterrupted views ofthe famous Chicago skyline. in addiion, we propose a second spectacular destination at he East End
Park where it takes visitors both over and into he water.
