Boukyo House

There's a great contrast in materials between inside and outside. External skins are covered by rusting steel and internally the fine materials with lighting effects control the atmosphere. The idea of the house was to spatially distinct between public and private area in Architects Nakayma’s spatial organization. Two bedrooms with a bathroom are placed far apart from public area – living, dining, workroom and kitchen. Meanwhile, Architects Nakayma defined the spaces by different levels that result ambiguous transmission. This is to expand the visualization between the spaces.
