ABOUT THE PROJECT “Bakraz Beldesi` is designed as a small resort settlement with terraces, gardens, and the beach, with respect to the heritage of chaotic integrity of construction in Bodrum.Old olive and palm trees are the symbols of the settlement, with many other plants from the region brought together to form the floral setting. Double stone walls (stones obtained during the excavation) and wooden floors (as being the non heat conductive materials), are main heat insulating elements of the construction. The special design of the fire place, having an air tank imbedded in to the wall, just above the fireplace, which is circulating the heated air through the house, with a pump consuming 80 watts only. This project is a tribute to the construction heritage of the Architecture of Bodrum peninsula with holistic integrity of materials and details, with the artisan know-how of the stone and wood craftsmanship. Poetry of the project is established with the concerns of sustainability, environmental consciousness, cultural continuity, and energy saving in mind. The houses have one space on the ground floor for living, cooking, and dining, all unfolding to their gardens for the out door life, the upper floor for the rest (bedrooms & study). Sturdiness, functions, purism, all entire touchable and untouchables are the sound sources of our inspirations,reserving the sources of the nature to an ecologic lifestyle for the inhabitants of this extraordinary resort settlement. The following services that are offered have been planned to provide all the necessary support so that the inhabitants can enjoy a refined atmosphere reminiscent of a resort community: Site security, shuttle service, housekeeping, maintenance, gardening, dry cleaning, laundry, bakery, exclusive wine cellar service, reception, transportation and transfers, car rental, boat rental, reservations, private events, parties, celebrations (services in both homes and common areas ), hostel, sailing, art studio. STRUCTURAL SYSTEM AND MATERIALS All projects are prepared in accordance with TSE(Turkish Standards Institute) norms and have been approved by the related professional chambers. Fresh water supply system (120m3 fresh water tank) and electrical infrastructural system Water tank and hydrants in case of Fire Wastewater system will be connected to the biological treatment system and will be recycled to be used in the gardens. The settlement is provided with a power generator serving all units.
