Aqua City
Aqua City Situated near the city of Bucharest, “Aqua City` is a luxury residential development at the shore of the Snagov lake. The goal of the project is to create a high-density- low rise housing area, respecting and catalyzing the natural virtues of the site and the landscape of the surroundings. Renewable energy is one of the major issues upon which the project is focused. The leitmotif of the spacial organization is a water channel that transforms the existing peninsula into an island. This way, the inner zone of the site gets views and acces to the water. A tower functioning as heliport, restaurant and nautical club is placed at the forefront of the site, acting as a landmark for the entire region. The tower contains functions only at its top and bottom, so that it can be sustained by one thin pylon. The earth from the excavation for the water channel will be re-used on site to elevate the shore and middle areas. Three types of dwellings will be present on the site : - lake houses at the shores - channel-houses with own boat garages - multi-storey villas in the remaining central zone The lake and channel houses consist of modules of appartments on two levels, one on top of the other. They are adapted to the slope of the terrain. Future owners will park their Ferraris in one of the two underground parking levels. Vegetation typical for the region will be used to enhance the quality of public and private space.
