83-85 Abbey RoadEdit profile
This unique development designed by Chassay+Last Architects is located in one of London's most internationally renowned locations. Abbey Road is famous for its culture, style and sophistication. The glory days of the 1960s when the area was made famous by The Beatles, have been replaced by a laid back sophistication epitomised by its proximity to Regents Park and Lord's cricket ground, a plethora of highly-rated restaurants, excellent transport links and a range of respected educational establishments. 83 & 85 Abbey Road is a new development combining a café/bar and a “state of the art” doctors surgery at street level with twenty-four contemporary 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses above. The focus of the building is on the east corner, which is wrapped, in copper panels with varying sizes of windows to reflect the internal use.
Part of the elevation to Boundary Road is designed to echo the Victorian terraces. The façade is designed to mimic the proportions of the existing street frontage of Boundary road.
