The scope of KPF’s work for Unilever Headquarters included re-developing this 1930’s structure and a portion of its 1970’s extension to the North.
The challenge was to recapture the strength and clarity of the original building configuration by allowing shared visible circulation; more flexible interconnected space; and a more stimulating environment for staff and visitors. Office/public spaces, lifts, fire escape, disabled access, circulation, plant specification were the main elements that were outdated.
